Having invested in the Mosaic Passport, a natural upgrade would be to integrate with Access systems (subject to compatibility).
The Mosaic Access Module removes the need to carry a large bunch of key fobs and entry cards to access sites and buildings. Operatives enter and exit using Mosaic Network Passports, updating the central system in real time so they can always be located. Each swipe helps to build up a detailed picture of operatives' onsite and trigger predetermined instant alerts and advanced information. Automatic notifications state whether a particular building has the correct proportion of first aiders, fire marshals and any other specified operatives. For example, an alert will be triggered when a first aider leaves a building if there is no longer an adequate number remaining. Using a planner, future absences can be tracked to warn of potential staffing issues. The planner is integrated with the Calendar in the HR side of the database so it can be populated with holidays and sick days automatically. This allows absences to be booked in advance with the confidence that the site will not be understaffed. The planner can also be upgraded to include pool car usage and any other scheduling tasks.
Access on the move
Mosaic systems are fully mobile - data can be collected and accessed from anywhere. Operatives carry PDAs populated directly with data from the Mosaic Access Module. In the event of an evacuation, a PDA can be taken outside of the building and a register taken using Mosaic Network Passports or tick boxes. This can be done at any distance from the building. An 'emergency procedure' is created on the PDAs that will allow very simple access in such events. The PDA is set to synchronise with the main system to update the register every few minutes, invaluable for finding out who is still to be registered.
